Many families face risk to life and limb daily from the fighting and from landmines and unexploded ordnance that lie around their communities. The increase in serious injuries, coupled with the over-stretched healthcare system means that many Ukrainians lack access to life-saving medical intervention. In an effort to provide a local solution to a local problem, ILAD is providing first aid training and supplies to members of hard-hit communities. This allows them to be the source of life-saving intervention for their own family, friends, and neighbors.
